Why use cultured marble?
Our showers are an attractive long lasting, low maintenance, affordable solution
for your bathroom. Cultured Marble never requires sealing like a natural stone
or grout. It resists mildew and stains. Cultured Marble remains at room temperature
and won’t be cold when you step in or sit on a corner seat or custom
bench. We can customize the size, shape and color for your needs.
How long does it take to get cultured marble?
Once the color has been selected and deposit made most orders can be made
in 5-7 working days. Installation of showers is usually a two step process.
We set the shower base at the bare studs, after rough plumbing and before
sheet rock. Shower walls are installed after painting.
Do you do shower doors?
We are a distributor for the Agalite line of shower enclosures, featuring
a lifetime warranty. There is a wide range of metal and glass finishes to
choose from. Our show room displays the Euro swing door in a Brushed Nickel
and also a bypass door in Oil Rubbed Bronze.
Do you do plumbing?
We are not certified to do plumbing but work with several local plumbers.
We are happy to coordinate schedules after the tear out of the old and installation
of the new.
How do I take care of my cultured marble surfaces?
For daily maintenance, we recommend using a squeegee on the shower walls and
use a spray on leave on cleaner such as Tilex Fresh Shower® or Clean Shower®.
Liquid gel or foaming cleaners like Scrubbing Bubbles®, Liquid Comet® or Clorox Gel® work well for routine cleaning. NEVER use an abrasive cleaner on your cultured marble. DO NOT use Soft Scrub®.
For a nice shine and to help resist soap and hard water build up use a coat of Gel Gloss® or HOPES® Cultured Marble Polish & Cleaner.
If you get stubborn water spots you can use Lime-Away liquid cleaner. You can also use a car buffer and buff out with a light car wax.
If you have any questions feel free to call our office at 509-582-5660.
What are the advantages of your kitchen countertop material?
The color goes all the way through the countertop making it a durable and
repairable surface. It is non-porous and never requires sealing like a natural
stone. We have several self edge styles and optional accent stripe at no additional
cost. Seamless appearance with molded in sink makes cleaning a breeze. It
is bacteria, stain and heat resistant up to 250°. We will make a cutting
board out of your sink cut out that can also double as a trivet.
How do I care for my new kitchen countertops?
Wipe down with a damp cloth and a mild cleaner. Scratch free Comet® works
great. Also for a nice shine HOPES® Solid Surface cleaner and polish works
well. It is available at Columbia Cultured Marble. For an accidental scratch
you can use 220 grit sandpaper to remove and finish with a Scotch-Brite®
pad.
